An unexpected glance at one of the most vibrant cities in Italy to understand an often neglected treasure in Italy: modern Art.
Turin will be the first stop of our itinerary, with its GAM (Gallery of Modern Art).The masterpieces of the major 19th century Italian artists, such as Fontanesi, Fattori, Pellizza da Volpedo and Medardo Rosso, as well as of the 20thcentury, among whom Morandi, Casorati, Martini and De Pisis, are restored to their ability of speaking in the present, and to exhibit all their splendour in close comparison with the art of the historical, international forerunners, from Max Ernst, Paul Klee and Picabia.
We will then proceed to a real paradise for wine amateurs, the Langhe! Get lost among some of the the most refined wines in the world! Arneis, Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa,Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Brachetto, Bonarda, Grignolino, Barolo….
Alba truffles in autumn are also an unforgettable experience.
The Langhe countryside is hilly area, whose features remain unchanged as they were in the first half of the 20th century, prominently in the writings of Beppe Fenoglio and Cesare Pavese.
